Why Should You Go?
Once again Miracle Theatre is donating a production to benefit a local charity. All proceeds from our production of The Fabulous Lipitones will be given to the United Way to help provide necessities for Prince George's most vulnerable adults and children through organizations such as the St. Vincent De Paul Society, Active Support Against Poverty and the S.O.S. Society.
About the Play
The Fabulous Lipitones have a big dream: to win the Barber Shop Quartet Championships. But then, in the semi-finals, their leader keels over trying to reach a note too high. Can they possibly find and rehearse a replacement tenor with the Championships only weeks away? Is this the end of their dream!?
While on the phone with their local service station, the Lipitones overhear the marvelous singing of the station's newest mechanic. Little do they know that what they think they are hearing is something and someone entirely different than what they imagine.
The new mechanic is sent right over for a try-out. And that's where the fun and surprises really begin! The judges will never forget this championship final and the antics of The Fabulous Lipitones... And neither will you!

Gordon has been a professional performer for over fifty years and has become a mainstay of the Vancouver musical theatre world. As much as he enjoys being on stage he is often under it as musical director, pianist or percussionist. Some recent favourite roles include Mr. Braithwaite in Billy Elliot (Arts Club), Eric Cameron in the new musical The Best Laid Plans (Patrick Street and Touchstone), and as Anthony in the Judy Garland musical drama End of the Rainbow (ACEproductions).
